Ok, this is not me, this is Badmoon10 on Kataangforever. They met up with Aaron Ehasz, a writer from Avatar. They mainly explain themselves in their writing, but I thought I would share it with you, and brighten your day so more. So here you go, enjoy reading-
So I met Aaron Ehasz today in Philadelphia, at Pat's(Famous philly cheese steak restaraunt). I was stunned and I had so many questions to ask of him but I didnt want to bug him at the same time. He was a really down to earth guy, extremely polite and was patient enough to let me annoy him for 5 minutes. He apparently lives in California but is in Philly all week for an upcoming show that he is going to be writing for.
I told him how the finale was incredible and how much the fans liked it. I told him there were a couple unanswered questions that I wish were answered and he told me to "shoot them at me".
I asked why we never got to see Aang tell Katara he loved her and about the chakra. He replied "The way we saw it, Aang was never going to tell Katara about the chakra, he loves her to much to make her feel bad about something like that. As for them saying that they love each other, we decided to do that in symbolism and actions instead of words." He paused and then said: "At the end of the finale when Katara kisses Aang and the camera zooms out, we tried to make it look, and symbolize, a kiss that the bride and groom have at the end of the wedding. That kiss wasnt just a kiss, it was also foreshadowing of a wedding or a bond between the two." When he told me that, I asked why they didnt just do an epilogue. He said "We wanted to leave everything open so we could pick up where we left off if we decided to. But there also may be some episodes in the future. Specials, maybe on Aang and Kataras children." I told him there was one more thing I had to ask him before he leaves and that was; So this is the last time we will see the gaang on a show together? He said "Anything is possible, especially since the show was so popular. Dont get your hopes up, but I wouldnt be suprised if they changed their minds and did a season four. A month ago there was a 0% chance of a season four, but the way everyones been reacting to the end, its definitly a possibility. We may see the group together again in animated form, not just the movies."
As he was walking away I yelled back so were you Kataang or Zutara? He yelled back; "Tokka!" Haha. Thought Id share this all with you.
I hope it brightened your day.
